Ocean Theme Bedroom

Set sail for the ocean: an octopus plush, a whale night light, sea life wall stickers and storage nets come together to create a bedroom that feels like a long voyage at sea. A timeless, gender-neutral and soothing theme, in a palette of blues that invites calm.

A sea-themed baby room

The nautical theme spans generations without aging a day. Its strengths: a soothing palette of blues and sand, a unisex world that suits girls and boys alike, and endless imagery, from funny fish to grand expeditions.

Building the world piece by piece

Start with one strong element: the ocean life stickers set the scene on a wall. The whale night light takes over at nightfall, the octopus plush joins the crib, and the hanging storage net evokes boat cabins while holding stuffed animals. Each piece works on its own; together they tell a story.

Blue, a color that helps with sleep

Blue tones and soft cool shades are known to be soothing, and rightly so: they evoke calm and pair well with dimmed light. Combined with a warm-light night light, they create an atmosphere that is conducive to bedtime.

To balance the room, keep the walls light and reserve the theme for accessories: our guide how to decorate a child's room explains how to get the balance right without going for a total look.
